Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Wedify, including the Wedify mobile application, website pages, APIs, profiles, partner linking tools, couple pages, photo upload features, and wedding announcement features.

By using Wedify, creating an account, entering an OTP, accepting the privacy and terms checkbox, uploading content, sending or accepting a partner request, or sharing a Wedify page, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create a Wedify profile or submit partner, wedding, Aadhaar, or identity details.
• You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
• You must use your own mobile number or a mobile number you are authorized to use.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it updated where the app allows updates.
• You may not use Wedify if we previously suspended or removed you for violating these Terms, unless we give written permission.

3. What Wedify Provides

Wedify helps users create wedding-oriented profiles, verify access through mobile OTP, add photos, search or identify a partner profile, send or accept partner requests, save wedding dates, display couple pages, and share wedding announcements.

Features may change over time. We may add, remove, limit, suspend, or modify features, eligibility rules, verification flows, or availability without promising that any specific feature will always be available.

4. No Legal Marriage Status

• Wedify profiles and couple pages are social and informational app records only.
• Wedify does not replace marriage registration, court marriage, religious ceremony requirements, official certificates, identity documents, or any legal process.
• A partner acceptance, wedding date, photo, or public announcement inside Wedify does not prove that a marriage is legally valid.
• Aadhaar, OTP, profile, or photo verification, if available, is used only for trust and account safety. It is not official proof of marriage.
• You are responsible for obtaining legal advice and official documents if you need legal proof or legal status.

5. Accounts, OTPs, and Security

• Wedify may use OTPs sent to your mobile number to verify sign-in and account access.
• You are responsible for protecting your device, mobile number, OTPs, sessions, and account access.
• Do not share OTPs or login access with anyone. Wedify will not ask you to share an OTP by email or public message.
• You must notify us promptly if you believe your account, mobile number, profile, or OTP has been misused.
• We may refuse, limit, or suspend access if we detect suspicious activity, abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, or security risk.

6. Your Information and Consent

You agree that information you submit to Wedify is true, current, and submitted with the necessary rights and permissions. This includes your name, gender, marital status, profile photo, partner mobile number, wedding date, wedding photo, and any identity verification information.

• You may not impersonate another person or create a profile for another person without valid permission.
• You may not enter a partner mobile number, photo, or personal details to harass, mislead, threaten, embarrass, or impersonate anyone.
• If you upload a photo with another person, you confirm that you have permission to use and share that photo through Wedify.
• If an Aadhaar or identity verification flow is offered, you must provide only your own information unless the feature and law clearly allow otherwise.

7. User Content and License

"User Content" means anything you submit, upload, display, or share through Wedify, including names, profile details, partner details, wedding dates, profile photos, wedding photos, and announcement text.

You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Wedify a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, resize, display, publish, transmit, and use your User Content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and provide Wedify features.

This license ends when your content is deleted from active systems, except where content remains in backups, logs, shared pages already accessed by others, legal records, dispute records, or places where continued use is allowed or required by law.

8. Profile Visibility and Sharing

• Some Wedify features are meant to be visible to others, including search results, partner confirmation screens, couple pages, and shared announcement links.
• You understand that people who can view or receive a Wedify page may save, screenshot, copy, or reshare what they see.
• You should not submit private details or photos unless you are comfortable with the visibility of the relevant feature.
• We may remove or limit visibility of profiles or content that appear false, abusive, unlawful, unsafe, infringing, or harmful.

9. Partner Requests and Couple Profiles

• Partner matching may rely on mobile numbers, profile lookups, existing Wedify data, and confirmation by users.
• Sending a partner request does not require the other person to accept.
• Accepting a partner request means you are confirming that you want Wedify to connect your profile with the other person for Wedify app purposes.
• If a request is sent to the wrong person or accepted by mistake, contact us and stop sharing the affected page while the issue is reviewed.
• Wedify may review, block, undo, hide, or remove partner links where we believe there is fraud, mistake, misuse, safety risk, or legal concern.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Create fake profiles, impersonate others, misrepresent marital status, or submit false partner details.
• Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, defamatory, obscene, invasive of privacy, or otherwise harmful.
• Upload photos or information without the required rights, consent, or permissions.
• Use Wedify to stalk, shame, blackmail, deceive, spam, scam, or harass anyone.
• Attempt to access accounts, APIs, servers, data, or systems without authorization.
• Interfere with security features, rate limits, OTP systems, verification systems, or abuse-prevention systems.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, harvest, crawl, copy, sell, or misuse Wedify data except as allowed by law and these Terms.
• Upload malware, automated scripts, harmful files, or content designed to disrupt Wedify.
• Use Wedify for illegal activity or to violate any applicable law, regulation, platform policy, or third-party right.

11. Review, Moderation, and Enforcement

We may review, moderate, restrict, hide, remove, or refuse content, profiles, links, requests, or accounts at our discretion where we believe it is necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms, prevent fraud, or maintain service integrity.

We do not promise to monitor all content or resolve every dispute between users. You remain responsible for your own information, relationships, legal status, and interactions with others.

12. Fees, App Stores, and Updates

• Wedify may be free or paid depending on the feature, platform, or release. If paid features are introduced, payment terms will be shown before purchase where required.
• Apple App Store, Google Play, payment processors, and other platforms may have their own terms. You must comply with those terms when using Wedify through those platforms.
• We may release updates, bug fixes, security patches, or compatibility changes. Some features may stop working if you do not update the app.

13. Intellectual Property

Wedify, including its name, logo, design, software, source code, app flows, text, graphics, icons, and other materials, is owned by Wedify or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may use Wedify only as allowed by these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or exploit Wedify except with our written permission or as allowed by law.

14. Third-Party Services

Wedify may depend on third-party services for hosting, storage, OTP delivery, app distribution, analytics, verification, payments, maps, or support. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

15. Suspension and Termination

• You may stop using Wedify at any time.
• We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, infringed rights, submitted false information, abused verification systems, or used Wedify unlawfully.
• After termination, some provisions continue, including ownership, content license for retained copies, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute provisions, and any terms that by nature should survive.

16. Disclaimers

Wedify is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not guarantee that profiles are accurate, that users are who they claim to be, that partner requests are accepted by the intended person, that photos are authentic, or that Wedify pages will be accepted as proof by any person, company, platform, court, registrar, or government authority.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Wedify and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, reputation, relationships, or legal status arising from or related to your use of Wedify.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Wedify's total liability for any claim related to the service will be limited to the amount you paid to Wedify for the feature giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing.

18. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Wedify and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your misuse of Wedify, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will show a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Your continued use of Wedify after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, except where mandatory consumer protection or local law requires otherwise. Courts with competent jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days, unless urgent legal relief is needed.
